Most AVE Global designs are available on two blank shirts: the Gildan tee and the Comfort Colors 1717. Both are 100% cotton and both print beautifully, but they feel and fit differently. Here is a quick guide.
Gildan tee
- Weight: midweight, around 5.3 oz. Light enough for summer, sturdy enough for everyday.
- Fit: classic unisex. True to size with a straight cut. If you like a relaxed look, go one size up.
- Colors: solid, bright, consistent from batch to batch.
- Price: our most affordable option. Great for gifts and group orders.
Comfort Colors 1717
- Weight: heavyweight ring-spun cotton, around 6.1 oz. Thicker, softer, drapes more.
- Fit: relaxed and slightly boxy. Many customers size down for a fitted look or stay true to size for the oversized feel.
- Colors: garment-dyed, which gives the washed, vintage look that Comfort Colors is known for. Slight shade variation between shirts is normal and part of the style.
- Price: a few dollars more than Gildan. Worth it if you want the premium washed tee feel.
Sweatshirts and hoodies
Our sweatshirts and hoodies are Gildan Heavy Blend, a 50/50 cotton and polyester fleece. They run true to size with room to layer.
